Niger Tornadoes are through to the finals of this year’s Aiteo Cup despite bowing 1-0 against Ifeanyi Ubah in the first semifinal in Nnewi on Thursday.
The Anambra Warriors grabbed a second leg win through Godwin Obaje’s 85th minute strike from the spot but his effort could not to stop the Ikon Allah Boys from zooming to the final on 4-3 aggregate win.

King Osanga and substitute Bright Onyedikachi were at their best in the hosts’ search for goals but the visitors’ defender Sunday Akinmoladun and goalkeeper Aliko Mustapha kept them at bay.
Five minutes to go, Abdulkadir Zango committed Bright Onyedikachi inside the box and Obaje wasted no time to convert from the spot. Despite the late goal for the hosts, the Ikon Allah Boys avoided conceding the second and sealed their place in the final.
Having advance, Abubakar Bala’s men will face the winners between Akwa United or Sunshine Stars in bid to reclaim the coveted title.
