The U-20 National Team, Flying Eagles, is presently in the Ghanaian capital, Accra for two friendly matches with the Ghana U-20 squad, nicknamed Black Satellites.
Six-time champions of Africa, Coach Manu Garba’s wards take on the home team on Monday at the Accra Sports Stadium, with the second match at the same venue on Wednesday.
A delegation of 22 players and 10 officials was led into Accra on Friday by NFF’s Director of Technical, Dr. Emmanuel Ikpeme.
The Flying Eagles, made up mostly of the chaps who won a record FIFA U-17 World Cup for Nigeria in UAE in 2013, will play host Senegal, Congo and Cote d’Ivoire in Group A at the 19th African Youth Championship in Senegal in March.
The team is expected back in Nigeria on Thursday to continue preparations in Abuja for the continental finals, ahead of a final training camp in Gambia.
