NFF 2nd Vice-President and Chairman of League Management Company, Mr. Shehu Dikko has expatiated on the usefulness of the Prozone software that the NFF has bought into as part of efforts to improve match preparation for Coaches of the various National Teams.
Dikko told members of the Nigeria delegation to a special training on the use of the software in London on Friday that the Prozone wizard will go a long way in improving the Nigeria game at home and internationally.
“I am thoroughly impressed by your presentation which is a reflection of the quality of training you have received over the past few days. I encourage and implore you to make the best use of knowledge gained back home, towards improving the quality of match preparation and match analysis for our National Teams at all levels.
“Your work will certainly guide the Coaches to properly appreciate previous matches of their teams as well as plan appropriately for opponents in upcoming games.”
The LMC boss also enjoined the team, led by NFF Deputy General Secretary Emmanuel Ikpeme, and including Salisu Yusuf, Siji Lagunju and Nasiru Jibril, to see themselves as privileged pioneers who have the responsibility of transferring acquired expertise locally, and breed another group of match analysts for deployment at all levels of the game in the country.
“I can assure you that the LMC will key into this noble project and support all the clubs in the Premier League back in Nigeria to start making use of match analysts, as well as the right software as done internationally, to improve the quality of professional league in Nigeria.
“When we get to Nigeria, we will make arrangement for a training programme for Coaches in the domestic League and other compliant stakeholders in the industry, so as to develop a pool of specialized match analysts for the country.”
