The Nigeria senior women’s national team, Super Falcons has been drawn in Group B for the 10th African Women Championship(AWCON) scheduled to take place in November.
Nigeria, the seven time African champions is drawn in the group with Ghana, Mali and Kenya in a draw held in Palais Polyvalent des Sports, Yaounde on Sunday.
Hosts Cameroon are drawn in Group A alongside Egypt, South Africa and Zimbabwe.
Super Falcons won the championships on seven different times in 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2010 and 2014 to become the most successful women football team in Africa.
The African championship is thus becoming tougher as the Falcons have lost its share of games to the likes of Ghana and Equatorial Guinea.
But the Falcons still remain favourites to win the African Championship.
The AWCON is scheduled to hold between November 19 to December 3, 2016 in Cameroun.
