Two-time African champions, Enyimba FC of Aba remain top of the Nigeria Professional Football League on Sunday evening, following conclusion of the Week 31 matches across the federation.

Enyimba, nicknamed People’s Elephant, defeated Wikki Tourists of Bauchi 2-0 with both goals from Skipper Chinedu Udoji, and moved to 58 points, five ahead of second -placed Sunshine Stars, who also won at home (1-0) to Abia Warriors.

Warri Wolves are third with a point less on Sunshine Stars, while Wikki Tourists are fourth with 51 points and Giwa FC are fifth with 50.

Bayelsa United prop up the table with only 26 points, but still a match on hand – their Week 31 clash with 10th -placed Heartland FC.

Six-time champions Enyimba next play big Oriental rivals, Heartland in Owerri on Sunday, before matches against Shooting Stars (at home) and giant-killing Nasarawa United (away).
