NFF’s Head of Legal Unit, Barrister Okey Obi and Integrity Officer, Dr. Christian Emeruwa were in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on Thursday to make presentations at a FIFA Regional Integrity Workshop, which took place at the Le Meridien Dubai Hotel and Conference Centre.
While Obi made a presentation (The NFF Integrity Initiative) on behalf of the Nigeria Football Federation, Emeruwa presented “Prospects of the Integrity Initiative in Africa” on behalf of the Confederation of African Football.
The workshop opened with a welcome remark by FIFA’s Acting Head of Integrity Department, Vincent Ven, before Aloysami spoke on “Measures to Combat Match-Fixing” in the Asian continent.
World football –governing body, FIFA also presented relevant integrity content and preventive measures in place for the 2018 FIFA World Cup finals in Russia, before the workshop dissolved into groups for preparation and presentation of integrity briefings by participants.
